Living Ascent · Support before a harder stretch
Climbing can wait.
You matter here.
No responder has been contacted. Flare helps you find resources and prepare a request for support. It is not emergency dispatch, satellite communication, or a clinical assessment.
LEAVE NO MAN BEHIND
If you send up a flare, the protocol turns toward you.
This is the principle behind Flare: when someone is struggling, lost, or descending, we do not simply keep climbing and forget them. The next step may be a person, a resource, professional support, or immediate emergency help.
Immediate help
In the U.S., call 911 for immediate danger, possible overdose, or a medical emergency. Call or text 988 for suicidal thoughts, emotional distress, or substance-use crisis support. Outside the U.S., use your local emergency number and country-specific services.
